Honda car stumbled a problem in Australia. Minimum 45,524 Honda Accord Euro models problematic and should be withdrawn for repair (recall) across Australia. The cause is suspected leaks in power steering hose. This has the potential to trigger a fire.
The damage occurred on the Accord sold in the period June 2003 to June 2008 in the State Kangaroo. Local Honda officially announced the recall campaign through the official website of the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission, commission of business competition and trade in Australia.
"The temperature in the heat under the hood can make a power steering hose expands and leaks occur prematurely. Oli also has the potential to get out, and produce smoke, burning smell, and could trigger the most severe fires,"writes Honda Australia as reported by caradvice, Wednesday (30 / 3 / 2011).
Honda will contact all customers by mail, ask them immediately to the authorized repair shop to check the vehicle. Until this news was revealed, Honda admitted that he had noted several reports related to the problem at the dealership.
"There are one or two customers who come to us because of leaking power steering hose. But certainly, there are no fires of any kind," said Honda Australia spokesman, Mark Higgins.
Just In addition, from January to March 2011, Honda had a recall campaign for the fourth time with a total withdrawal of 84,505 units. Withdrawals occur on some models, namely the Euro Accord, City, Civic Hybrid, and Jazz.
