Casey Stoner admitted he will face difficulty to repeat gemilangnya debut with Honda, when it appeared on the second series in 2011 in Jerez MotoGP on Sunday (3/4/11). The reason is, its rivals have good memories in the circuit.
Indeed, Stoner started the new season with a very riveting. In his first appearance with the HRC in Qatar on 20 March, the Australian rider was brilliant, so beat the world champion Jorge Lorenzo, and his team mate, Dani Pedrosa, who in a row is in position two and three.
But ahead of this weekend's Spanish GP, Stoner is trying to be more realistic. 2007 world champion admitted that Lorenzo and Pedrosa are more a favorite, given the results of two seasons ago when he was riding the Desmosedici GP9, he was just being on the podium number three. Moreover, Lorenzo and Pedrosa, that in fact the Spanish rider, would have the support of 100,000 supporters.
"Things are never a good place for me in Jerez. But I always come back next year with optimism, and I will do the same this year.
"Last year Jorge fantastic here and Dani is very fast with the motor that previously he had experienced difficulty in recording the best time. We will go there to fight the two racers are very competitive and I think we can expect the other driver was also good.
"So, we should still trample feet on the ground and try and do the best job on a circuit that strange to me."
