Toshiba Corp. is ready to market the first tablet to consumers July. Toshiba will start marketing its first tablet, Thrive, in the United States on July 10. Reuters reported, as has been shown at CES last mat, Thrive has a new Android operating system or Honeycomb. Other features include a 5-megapixel resolution camera on the back and 2.1 megapixel camera on the front. With a weight of 1.6 pounds (725 grams) and thickness of 0.6 inches (15.24 millimeters), Thrive is heavier and thicker compared to tablets in general. Thickness was due to a variety of embedded features such as Toshiba's built-in HDMI ports, USB, Mini USB and SD card slot.
