Spanish MotoGP ahead, Genuine Honda Power Awaits

Jerez - The Honda riders do well in the series inaugural race in Qatar. According to Casey Stoner, it can not be used as a benchmark because they will face real test in Jerez.

Stoner appeared superior in Losail. In pre-season test, free exercise, until the race, Australian drivers are almost always the best. Meanwhile, Dani Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso also performed consistently before eventually finishing in third place and fourth in the race.

This weekend, the roar of the exhaust will be shifted to the Continent of Europe, precisely in Jerez. Stoner judge's where Honda's competitiveness can be measured.

"The race debut of course a good thing, but as everyone knows, we have a very good record there and will not keep it on the rest of the season," said Stoner, as quoted by Autosport.

"These tracks (Jerez) will give us a clearer picture of how we rate in the rest of the season on a different circuit,"added the 25-year boy.

"It was fun after a victory last week and it is the best way to start the season, but I'm really waiting for the races in Europe," he said.

Stoner had a poor record at Jerez. In five appearances since 2006, she had once climbed the podium, which is now ranked third in 2009.
