Kia's export revenue has increased from U.S. $ 100 million in 1987 to U.S. $ 500 million in 2003, U.S. $ 1miliar in 2005, and U.S. $ 11.2 billion in 2010. Increased exports makes the first time Kia's global sales exceeded 2 million units in 2010.

  1. Hyundai and Kia have experienced phenomenal growth over the past few years, even as the rest of the auto industry was embroiled in an ugly downturn. In fact, 2011 was a terrific year for the Korean automaker, as sales jumped by double digits globally. But while Hyundai/Kia has been on fire of late, Reuters reports that company officials feel that 2012 isn't likely to return the same gains.
